For the last two days I have basically concentrated my efforts on trying to get a cell phone and playing FT. One of these attempts has been rather frustrating and the other has been quite fun.
As for getting a cell phone I have had exactly Zero luck. But as for FT I have made it up to 7th-dan in just over 200 matches. Beeotch!
I'm way too tired now to write much more I'll update in more detail later.
Some fun news for Shun players: when your opponent is at -13 6PPK is now guaranteed up from just plain 6PK.

I got into Narita with no problems yesterday. My flight landed at 2:30pm and Kurita and Bear Crusher came to get me at the airport. From there we headed to pick up Kurissa (VA) and Jouhouya (PA) and got some ramen in Chiba. From there we went to a really cheap arcade and played FT for about 4 hours. It took me quite a while to get used to the overall system changes such as evade being 2 frames slower than before...so I lost quite a bit at the beginning. Guess playing with 2 of the strongest Vanessas and a kick ass Pai didn't help me too much.
After about 30 matches I got my toori-na and apparently I am a chicken >< Basically I was running back and trying moves to get the timing down for most of the time so I guess they just equated me with being a pussy. Cold ass fucks.
Overall impressions:
You have to know frames even more now. Lots of the big launchers (chouwan dragon smash cannon) have been slowed down (even if only by 1 frame) and the disadvantage on guard is worse. You can no longer just evade--> launcher as so many people liked to do in Evo. A standing P will beat lots of that...
I'll be playing more today and hopefully will have more impressions up soon.
